American UAV Strike Kills Seven

The government of Yemen claims it has foiled a terrorist attack by al-Qaeda that would have targeted oil and gas export platforms. At the same time, the second UAV strike in two days is believed to have killed seven members of al-Qaeda.
According to a report by VOA News, the deployment of Yemeni troops to possible targets foiled the attack, which would have used terrorists dressed in stolen army uniforms to seize key locations in Mukalla and Shabwa.
The UAV strike is the second in two days, and the fifth in two weeks. The UAV strikes have targeted al-Qaeda in the Arabian Pensinsula, which is seen as one of the more dangerous affiliates of al-Qaeda.
