USS Anzio Seizes Four Tons of Narcotics(1)
USS Anzio (CG 68), operating as part of the Combined Maritime Forces, a U.S.-led coalition supporting maritime security operations in the region, seized approximately four tons of hashish found aboard a skiff in the Gulf of Aden, with an estimated street-value of $28 million.
Task Force 2-1 Finds Major Drug Cache in Southern Afghanistan
Soldiers from the 2nd Battalion, 1st Infantry Regiment, 5th Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, confiscated more than a half-ton of black tar heroin during an early morning patrol in the Maywand District of the Kandahar province.
Coast Guard keeps millions in drugs off streets
In the last six weeks, Florida-based Coast Guard units have aided in the interception of almost 13,300 pounds of cocaine worth more than $180 million and more than 4,600 of pounds of marijuana worth more than $4 million.
