White House NOT Releasing Photos - UPDATED
The White House has decided against releasing photos of Usama bin Laden's corpse.
An earlier report from ABCNews.com indicated there had been a debate over whether or not to release the photos.
The Washington Examiner reported that Senator Scott Brown (R-MA) had seen the photos and said, "If it's to sell newspapers or just have a news cycle story, no, I don't think they should be released."
The decision is also supported by House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Rogers (R-MI), who was quoted by CBSNews.com, "Osama bin Laden is not a trophy - he is dead and let's now focus on continuing the fight until Al Qaida has been eliminated."
Senator Saxby Chambliss (R-GA), believes that the image will eventually leak, saying "It's likely to happen at some point in time anyway."
