Militia Hired For Security Supported Al-Qaeda
By Harold Hutchison

The February 17th Martyrs Brigade, hired by the State Department to provide security for the consulate in Benghazi. The consulate was attacked on 11 September, 2012, and four Americans were killed.

According to an exclusive report from Newsmax.com, the Facebook page for the group expressed support for Ansar al-Sharia, an extremist group that has been believed to be responsible for the attack. A number of graphics and entries speak in support of Osama bin Laden, as well as terrorist groups like Ansar al-Sharia and Jabhat al-Nusra.

The new revelations may add a new importance to upcoming hearings by the House Committee on Government Oversight. Chairman Darrell Issa, a Representative from California, said in a statement, “Over the past two weeks, I have sent four letters requesting that this administration make information available about how lawyers -- who already have security clearances and are representing Benghazi whistleblowers -- can be cleared to fully hear their clients’ stories. I have yet to receive any responses from the Obama administration.”
