USSF medics aid victims after suicide attack in Paktia
U.S. Special Forces medics from Special Operations Task Force – East treated several victims after multiple suicide bombers attacked an Afghan National Security Forces training site in Jaji District, Paktia province April 14.
Three ANSF were killed and another five injured when the first bomber detonated his vest near the training area gate. A second bomber was shot and killed by ANSF before detonation and two more fled the scene.
USSF medics were nearby when they heard the explosion and went to assist.
Reports from locals present at the site stated that the four bombers were dressed in traditional Afghan clothing with head wraps covering their faces.
The incident is currently under investigation.
