While the Ramadi SEALs were learning about the conventional forces and making themselves useful, the Army and, to a lesser extent, the Marines were learning about SEALs. About a dozen and a half, not all pictured, rough and ready hunters showed up for the annual combination elk camp/test and evaluation session of all kinds of goodies which we all would have to like to have kept, but some we could not afford. This year we hunted a new game management unit, selected by one of our partners in crime who lives in the Craig, Colorado area, hoping that a change of venue would bring us luck, i.e., elk meat in the freezer.
