ISAF Captures Bad Guys
By Harold Hutchison
ISAF reported capturing two Taliban leaders and a facilitator during operations across Afghanistan. The Taliban leaders and facilitator were not identified.
One Taliban leader in Nangarhar province was suspected of having maintained direct operational control of a significant number of suicide bombers, while also having operational control of insurgent fighters in the province. The second Taliban leader, captured in Ghazni province, was thought to have personally planned and executed attacks against Afghan and coalition forces, while also providing insurgents weapons and IED.
The Taliban facilitator was captured in Kandahar province, and was allegedly heavily involved in the financial dealings of the insurgent network operating in Arghandab district. He also was suspected of acquiring and distributing what an ISAF release called "lethal aid."
