Petraeus Dismissed Talking Points
By Harold Hutchison

The recent release of 94 pages worth of e-mails between Obama Administration officials in the wake of the Benghazi attack might sound impressive, but in reality, the e-mails, while still having some relative value, is still a small fraction of what has been requested by Congressional investigators.

The e-mails include one from then-CIA Director David Petraeus in which he dismissed the final version of the talking points used by UN Ambassador Susan Rice on the Sunday talk shows. They also reveal that many of the objections came from the State Department, which was then run by Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Not included are e-mails from the two days after the 11 September, 2012 attack in which Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans were killed, nor is there a transcript of a video teleconference.

“There are relevant documents the Administration has still refused to produce,” Brendan Buck, a spokesman for House Speaker John Boehner said in a statement. Five House committees are investigating various aspects of the Benghazi attack.
