Occurred Days After San Jose Attack
By Harold Hutchson

A week after a sniper attack on a power plant outside San Jose, California, a nuclear power plant in Tennessee also was targeted by an unknown gunman. As was the case in the San Jose attack, the sniper got away.

According to the blog Gateway Pundit, citing contemporary media reports, a man walked onto the grounds of the nuclear power plant, and then fired shots when he was confronted by a security guard. The gunman then fled as the security guard returned fire, and remains at large.

The San Jose attack raised concerns about the vulnerability of America’s power grid, with a former George W. Bush Administration official briefing both the White House and Congress on the threat.
