PUTIN MAKES HIS MOVE IN CRIMEA!
Calls Obama’s Bluff
By Harold Hutchison
Russian President Vladimir Putin has received permission from the Russian parliament to deploy troops to the Ukraine, despite warnings from the Obama Administration not to intervene.
According to reports from multiple media outlets, the Russian parliament gave Putin the authority in a unanimous vote. Russian troops have reportedly been asked by pro-Russian officials in Crimea to intervene in that autonomous republic of the Ukraine. The Russian Black Sea Fleet and the Ukrainian Navy are both based in Sevastopol, a major naval base located in that republic.
FoxNews.com reported that Russian Il-76 “Candid” cargo planes were landing, delivering unknown cargo. The Il-76 is roughly comparable to the retired C-141 Starlifter cargo plane. Russian armored vehicles have also been seen in Crimea, which was made a part of the Ukraine by the Soviet Union in 1954.
Military forces have not been the only assets Russia has been sending. According to a report by Time.com, a motorcycle gang known as the “Night Wolves” has also been showing up in Crimea. Alexander Zaldostanov, the leader of the gang, reportedly turned up in the Crimean capital of Simferopol.
The Russian parliament has also called for Putin to recall Russia’s ambassador to the United States.
Has Obama’s “lead from behind” strategy doomed the Ukraine to being at the mercy of a tyrant?
