The double standard is so glaring one could go blind. Yesterday at a pro-union rally in Massachusetts, Rep. Mike Capuano said, “I’m proud to be here with people who understand that it’s more than just sending an email to get you going. Every once and awhile you need to get out on the streets and get a little bloody when necessary.
Apparently, the unions have taken him at his word. Today a gaggle of union protesters from the Teamsters, AFSCME, SEIU, AFT, CWA, and others showed up at the DC offices of Freedomworks to protest Freedomworks’ support of Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker. One of these union thugs struck Freedomworks employee Tabitha Hale.
Great job fella! Bet you’re feeling like a real man tonight!
I hope Tabitha presses charges. While Democrats, with media support, have sought to paint tea partiers as violent and hateful, the truth, as we all know, is that Democrat politicians and their partisan supporters are about the most vicious, vindictive people on the face of the earth. This is especially true of their union house pets, who it seems have a license to be crude, anti-Semitic, bigoted and violent. Where are the media hounds demanding Democrat apologies for this union bullying?
And let’s not forget that there is nothing new here. Recall the stalking and beating of Louisana Governor Bobby Jindal’s aide, Allee Bautsch and her boyfriend last year, and Kenneth Gladney’s beating at the hands of SEIU thugs in 2009. But because the Democrats have the media largely in their pocket, many Americans never see this viciousness. That is the only way SEIU President Andy Stern can get away with saying: "If we cant use the power of persuasion, we will use the persuasion of power."
Andy Stern, one of Obama's most frequent visitors. Hmmm....
