Shadi Mama and Mojib Killed by ISAF
By Harold Hutchison
ISAF confirmed that it has killed two more Taliban leaders, upping their total to five in the last three days. Shadi Mama was killed in a precision strike in Helmand, while ISAF forces in Nangarhar province eliminated Mojib.
Shadi Mama was involved in IED and direct-fire attacks on ISAF and Afghan forces, and also facilitated the transfer of heavy weapons to insurgents. When found in a location away from civilians, he was taken out. Mojib, aka Mansoor, carried out attacks against Afghan leadership, as well as Afghan and coalition forces.
ISAF forces also captured a Haqqani network leader and a Taliban facilitator during operations across Afghanistan. Four insurgents were killed in separate engagements in Kunar and Ghazni provinces.
