The Haqqani facilitator was captured in Logar province, and served as a vital link in the Haqqani network’s IED operations throughout the province’s Pul-e ‘Alam district. He coordinated the construction, distribution and emplacement of IEDs for use in attacks against Afghan and ISAF forces.
ISAF’s Regional Command East reported that forces under its command located one weapons cache, captured six insurgents, and disarmed six IEDs. This brings totals over the last week to 17 insurgents captured, 35 IEDs disarmed, and nine weapons caches located.
