Pakistani Taliban in the Lahore area who were benefiting from the activities of a communications ring will find themselves needing some new help in that area. Police have arrested 13 suspects, and are seeking at least three more.
According to a report by the Washington Times, the ring had set themselves up in the basements of homes in the suburbs of Lahore, a city near the Indian border. In the raid, police recovered hundreds of cell phones and SIM cards.
The suspects also had possession of tracking equipment that was capable of locating people based on their cell phones. They are believed to have been involved in two high-profile kidnappings.
