America Losing Edge Against ChiComs

The United States is losing its edge in the Pacific against the ChiComs, the commander of United States Pacific Command warned. The warning comes in the wake of Communist China’s recent maritime border disputes with Japan and the Philippines.
According to a report by the Washington Times, Admiral Samuel J, Locklear, the commander of Pacific Command, said, “Our historic dominance that most of us in this room have enjoyed is diminishing, no question.” The comment came during a naval conference in Virginia earlier this week.
In recent years, a number of naval and air programs have been cut. F-22 production was halted at 187 planes, while the Zumwalt-class destroyer was halted at three units. The Expeditionary Fighting Vehicle was cancelled. In December, 2012, the carrier USS Enterprise was inactivated, and is currently being prepared for scrapping.
Meanwhile, the ChiComs have recently tested a hypersonic missile, one reportedly designed to defeat American defenses.
