North Korean Threats Continue
By Harold Hutchison
The United Nations Security Council imposed new sanctions on North Korea, even as the rogue nuclear power threatened to launch a pre-emptive nuclear strike on the United States.
"Intercontinental ballistic missiles and various other missiles, which have already set their striking targets, are now armed with lighter, smaller and diversified nuclear warheads and are placed on a standby status," Army Gen. Kang Pyo Yong told the crowd of a mass rally in the North Korean capital of Pyongyang. "When we shell (the missiles), Washington, which is the stronghold of evils, .... will be engulfed in a sea of fire."
The new round of sanctions is intended to make it even more difficult for North Korea to obtain material and money to continue its nuclear weapons and missile programs.
