Vessel Stopped in Panama Canal

A North Korean vessel was stopped in the Panama Canal – and during a search, Panamanian authorities discovered missile parts from Cuba on board.
“We had suspected this ship, which was coming from Cuba and headed to North Korea, might have drugs aboard so it was brought into port for search and inspection," Ricardo Martinelli told Foxnews.com. Instead, the Panamanian authorities found missile components from Cuba. The shipment appeared to violate UN resolutions on arms trafficking.
The North Korean crew resisted the efforts to take the ship to the port of Manzanillo and the captain attempted suicide.
