Senate Republican Leader Joins Second Amendment Defense!
By Harold Hutchison
Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell joined a filibuster lead by fellow Kentucky Senator Rand Paul, intending to defeat gun legislation being proposed in the wake of the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School, in which 20 children and six adults were killed. The announcement comes as Barack Hussein Obama continued his push for new gun laws.
Obama’s push will involve the families some of the children killed in the shooting. The shooter stole the guns used in the tragic act after he killed his mother. The families flew from Connecticut to D.C. on Air Force One.
In the meantime, a new survey from PoliceOne.com indicated that the policies that many police chiefs and mayors are calling for are not supported by rank and file cops. Among the highlights of the survey were that 96 percent of respondents felt that restrictions on standard-capacity magazines would not reduce crime, and 80 percent felt that the presence of an armed citizen could reduce casualties in a mass shooting.
