Cruz, McConnell, Labeled Stooges
By Harold Hutchison
Senators Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Mitch McConnell (R-KY) have come under a scurrilous attack recently for standing up for the Second Amendment during the recent debate in the U.S. Senate. The attacks came from late-night comic David Letterman.
Over the past two nights, Letterman labeled Cruz and McConnell “stooges” for their leading role against anti-gun legislation in the United States Senate. Cruz, along with Senators Rand Paul (R-KY) and Mike Lee (R-UT), lead a filibuster against debating S. 649. The legislation was moved to debate by a 68-31 vote, but it failed when the actual bill could not muster the 60 votes necessary to halt a filibuster.
According to Breitbart.com’s Big Hollywood, Letterman did not have the grades to be admitted to the University of Indiana, while Ted Cruz graduated from Princeton University with honors, then graduated from Harvard Law School. Does that mean Letterman is the real stooge?
