Seven-Year-Old Helps Vets, Troops
By Harold Hutchison
A seven-year-old child has reached out to aid Soldiers and veterans suffering from PTSD or considering suicide – and his efforts have drawn praise from the Army’s Surgeon General.
Lieutenant General Patricia D. Horoho shared the young boy’s efforts by republishing a letter from an Army spouse, outlining the young boy’s questions, her efforts to explain what was going on, and how he responded.
The seven-year-old’s efforts were also featured on the Today Show on NBC.
If a seven-year-old child can reach out to our vets and troops to support them, what could those of us with far more resources do to help a vet?
