Leaders, Facilitator, Nabbed During Operations

ISAF confirmed that two insurgent leaders and an insurgent facilitator were captured during operations on 25 March. This comes as the spring fighting season is approaching in the region.
A Taliban leader was captured in Shah Wali Kot district, Kandahar province. The unidentified individual had ordered assassinations of Afghan government officials. The leader was also involved in leading attacks against Afghan and Coalition forces.
In Helmand Province, ISAF captured a Taliban facilitator whose identity was not revealed. The facilitator was involved in providing weapons to insurgents, including improvised explosive devices.
In Kunduz province, ISAF captured a leader of the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan. The leader was in the process of planning an assassination of an Afghan government official, and had crried out attacks against ISAF and Afghan forces.
