ISAF Also Nabs Flunkies During Operations

ISAF confirmed the capture of two insurgent leaders during operations in Afghanistan yesterday. This brings the total of insurgent leaders captured or killed since Friday to ten.
In Baghlan province, a leader with the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan was captured by ISAF. He had been involved in training new insurgent fighters, and in gathering intelligence. He also was involved in IED attacks.
A Taliban leader in Logar province was captured with a number of other insurgents. this Taliban leader was responsible for procuring weapons for insurgents and in coordinating their movements.
During the hunt for a Taliban facilitator in Kandahar province and a “senior Taliban leader” in Helmand province, ISAF reported capturing a number of insurgents.
