ISAF Also Nabs Taliban IED Specialist

ISAF confirmed that a Taliban facilitator and Taliban leader were killed during operations In Afghanistan over the last three days. Habib, a was responsible for distributing weapons, military equipment and ammunition to multiple extremist networks in the Sholgarah and Chimtal districts of Balkh province. He also planned attacks against Afghan and coalition forces and illegally taxed and extorted money from Afghan citizens.
Sadiq, a Taliban leader killed in Helmand province, was responsible for directing improvised explosive device, indirect fire and direct fire complex attacks against Afghan and coalition forces. ISAF also confirmed the capture of Waliullah, a Taliban IED specialist, in the Pul-e Khumri district of Baghlan province. He was responsible for actively constructing and storing IEDs that frequently target Afghan National Security Forces and Coalition Forces. He is also responsible for distributing IEDs throughout west-central Baghlan province.
ISAF’s Regional Command East reported that forces under its command killed five insurgents, located two weapons caches, and disarmed twenty IEDs.
