Seven People, Including Four Children, Held

Seven French tourists in Cameroon have been kidnapped by terrorists from Nigeria. The terrorist group Ansaru claimed responsibility for the attack.
"The most likely thing is that they have been taken to Nigeria," French President Francois Hollande said, while on a trip to Greece. "We are doing everything in our power to prevent them [from] being captured and trapped in this country. But we warn also all the tourists that are in the area of Cameroon to avoid exposing themselves [to such dangers]. But we also have to do everything to find our compatriots."
Ansaru is not the most notorious terrorist group in the region. Boko Haram, which has carried out a terror campaign since 2009, has killed over a thousand. Ansaru, though, has cited French action in Mali as a reason for the attacks.
