Snowden on the Run
By Harold Hutchison
Edward Snowden, who fled to Hong Kong after he leaked details of the NSA’s PRISM surveillance program, may be fleeing to Communist China, while Russia has also said it would be willing to consider an asylum request.
“It is telling that he immediately fled to Hong Kong; one wonders whether he will offer his services and knowledge to the Chinese security services next,” John Yoo wrote at NationalReview.com. Meanwhile, the London Guardian reported that Russia had said it would consider an asylum request if Snowden made one.
If Snowden flees to China or Russia, does that make him a traitor instead of a whistleblower?
