Third Gun-Grabbing Senator Targeted For Recall
By Harold Hutchison
A third Colorado State Senator could be facing a recall election in the wake of the successful recalls of John Morse and Angela Giron. This time, organizers are seeking to deliver recall petitions with 25,000 signatures by 3 December.
In a syndicated column, Michelle Malkin noted that Hudak was infamous for her derision of a rape victim who opposed the legislation pushed through earlier this year.
“I just want to say, statistics are not on your side, even if you had had a gun… Chances are that if you had had a gun, then he would have been able to get than from you and possibly use it against you,” Hudak told Amanda Collins.
Supporters of the recall effort have received death threats and a committee opposing the recall has claimed that supporters are potential sex offenders. A spokeswoman for the committee said about the scare tactics, “If that's what it takes to stop the recall, I'm supportive.”
