Obama Administration Consulting Vehement Critic of Christians
By Harold Hutchison
The Obama Administration is pursuing new policies relating to so-called “proselytizing” that could result in Christians being court-martialed for sharing their faith. Ominously, the Pentagon is consulting a vehement critic of Christians in the military, Mikey Weinstein, who heads to Military Religious Freedom Foundation.
According to a an alert by the Family Research Council, Weinstein has been very vocal, telling columnist Sally Quinn, that Christians sharing their faith was “sedition and treason” and that it posed a “national security threat.” The MRFF has gotten involved in cases involving the naming of a Marine fighter squadron, and created controversy over the inclusion of New Testament verses on sights provided to the DOD by Aimpoint.
“If you’re talking about coercion that’s one thing, but if you’re talking about the free exercise of our faith as individual soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines, especially for the chaplains, they I think the worst thing we can do is stop the ability for a soldier to be able to exercise his faith,” FRC Executive Vice President Jerry Boykin, a retired three-star general told Breitbart News.
The FRC has launched a petition that has gathered over 110,000 electronic signatures in opposition to the notion.
