Response Comes After Reports of ChiCom Hacking

The Chinese Communists claimed that two of their website have been attacked over 144,000 times a month – and that the attacks came from the United States. This comes after reports from an American think tank and cyber-security company blamed the ChiComs for cyberattacks on American companies.
A report by the Virginia-based Mandiant group claimed that a ChiCom military unit was responsible for attacks dating back several years. The Aspen Institute also claimed they were targeted by ChiCom hackers, and that some accounts, including that of the CEO and President of that organization.
China's Defense Ministry also decried recent reports that Washington plans to expand its cyber warfare capabilities, and a spokesman there called for U.S. officials to "explain and clarify" the reports.
