Proposed Legislation in California Bans Magazines, More Guns
By Harold Hutchison
Anti-gun legislation in California could make that state’s gun laws the most strict in the country. The pieces of legislation are currently pending in a very anti-gun state legislature.
According to a NRA-ILA alert, among the items proposed are a ban on any semi-automatic rifle with a detachable magazine and a bill that would require owners of standard-capacity magazines holding more than ten rounds to turn them in.
Other anti-gun bills pending include a ban on the use of traditional ammunition for hunting, expanding a licensing scheme, and new “safe storage” requirements that would effectively mke self-defense impossible.
