Field & Stream Interview Latest Embarrassment
By Harold Hutchison
Vice President Joe Biden has again offered self-defense advice – only this time, it is advice that has actually resulted in a prosecution. The advice came during an interview with Field & Stream in what is being described as a “Second Amendment Interview” series.
“I said, ‘Well, you know, my shotgun will do better for you than your AR-15, because you want to keep someone away from your house, just fire the shotgun through the door,’” Biden said. However, in Virginia Beach, Virginia, when a 22-year-old did exactly that, he was arrested on charges of reckless handling of a firearm.
Biden earlier was on record saying that he advised his wife to fire her shotgun into the air if she felt threatened at their home in Delaware. That advice was also seen as violating local laws.
