The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives missed a 30 March deadline to provide Representative Darrell Issa (R-CA), Chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform with documents pertaining to ATF's Project Gunrunner.
The refusal to cooperate comes despite warnings from a retired ATF Special Agent in Charge that the agency could be falling into a trap that could be fatal.
Bernie La Forest's e-mail was re-printed by National Gun Rights Examiner David Codrea, who wrote, "Hopefully, Senator Grassley and Rep. Issa will look into this and ensure that Mr. La Forest's fears do not materialize."
