Suspect Sent Letters to Obama, Sen. Wicker
By Harold Hutchison
Federal agents arrested a man in Misssissippi on charges related to the ricin-laced letters sent to Senator Roger Wicker (R-MS) and President Obama. Paul Kevin Curtis was taken into custody two days after news about the letters broke.
According to a report by TheBlaze.com, Curtis had been sending letters to lawmakers regarding what he viewed as a conspiracy to engage in the trafficking of body parts. Curtis also had been in jail on some occasions – including stalking charges, according to Prentiss County Sheriff Randy Tolar. Tolar added that he suspected Curtis had psychological issues, based on some of his Facebook posts.
In a side note, TheBlaze.com was tipped to the possible identity of the suspect hours before the arrest was made public by the blog Lady Liberty 1885. The blog sat on the information, saying, “We didn’t want to pull a Richard Jewell, so we sat on this post.”
