…But Will Anyone Believe He Means It?
By Harold Hutchison
The Obama Administration is vowing to set a “red line” regarding Iran’s ballistic missile programs – even as Iran vows it will not negotiate over them. This comes after Iran tested two ballistic missiles.
According to a report by the Washington Free Beacon, bi-partisan legislation currently pending in Congress would impose harsher sanctions on Iran in the event of ballistic missile tests. The “interim” agreement the Obama Administration reached with Iran allows ballistic missile tests to go forward, despite the terms of UN Security Council Resolution 1929.
Ballistic missiles are perhaps the most common means of delivering nuclear weapons to targets. But after Obama got wishy-washy over the “red line” regarding Syria, can anyone believe he means it?
