Strike Reportedly Targets Senior Leader

The United States targeted a senior terrorist leader over the weekend. The strike, in Somaia, targeted a leader of al-Shabab, a terrorist group linked to al-Qaeda.
According to a report by Fox News, an unmanned aerial vehicle fires a missile at a vehicle believed to be carrying Sahal Iskudhuq. The strike was apparently successful, with the terrorist group reporting that Iskudhuq was killed.
This is the second such strike carried out by American forces. In October, one of the terrorist group’s explosives experts was killed in a similar UAV strike. October also saw an attempted raid by SEALs that failed.
