France, United States Targeted
The Islamic State, recently hit by airstrikes by both the United States and France, has now called for attacks to be carried out against those countries. The calls come after Congress approved a program to arm and assist Syrian opposition forces.
According to multiple reports, the threats from the Islamic State were made in a recording made by a spokesman for the terrorist group, Abu Muhammad al-Adnani. In the statement, al-Adnani told followers of the group to “kill a disbelieving American or European -- especially the spiteful and filthy French -- or an Australian, or a Canadian or any other disbeliever ... including the citizens of the countries that entered into a coalition against the Islamic State, then rely upon Allah, and kill him.”
