Soldier of Fortune’s Brown backs Steve Schreiner for NRA Board

Firearms designer Len Savage put me in touch with Lt. Col. Robert K. Brown, publisher of Soldier of Fortune Magazine, who wanted to call our attention to the candidacy of Steve Schreiner for the National Rifle Association Board of Directors.

The Nominating Committee has not selected him, however. Per Brown:

NRA will not endorse him ‘cause they think he is "too much of a zealot." My response is that we could use a few more "zealots" on the BOD.

On December 1, 2010, three Montagnard men from the village of Bon Croh Ponan (whose names are below) reported to the local police station in Croh Ponan commune because they had each received a letter of summons requesting their presence. The men left their village and arrived at the station at approximately 8:00am. They were taken into separate rooms for questioning. The following paragraphs recount their interrogation sessions.

Seattle couple murdered by pirates; Would guns on board be smart?

Four Americans, including a Seattle couple, aboard a private yacht hijacked by Somali pirates are dead this morning, and readers reacting to the CBS story on-line are wondering why any of the pirates were taken alive. Likewise, after the Seattle Times caught up with the story at about 7:25 a.m., it didn’t take long for readers to suggest that the pirates be taught a lesson.

I had some guy the other day complain that I sell books on top of trying to save the world. For Pete's sake, I have to make a living, is that a crime now? I'm a capitalist and proud of it. I'm struggling to preserve our rights and struggling to selling stuff. I think that guy's a closet socialist -- capitalism is OK unless you want to sell something -- and benefit from the sale? Puhleeeze.
