Phony Integrity?

I am passing these two lengthy pieces along, without editorial in them, for the singular purpose of pointing out what I believe to be a concerted effort to mislead the public in a large concerted effort. Essentially I believe what we have is an organized propaganda machine effort; I will explain in a moment. Both pieces are a product of "The Center For Public Integrity" whose byline is "Investigative Journalism in the Public Interest." I have no doubt both pieces will be referenced in more mainstream media in short order, perhaps even as quickly as this coming Sunday.

Hariri Tribunal Begins Procedural Hearing Ahead of Trial

A U.N.-backed tribunal investigating the 2005 assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri is taking steps to ensure a speedy trial.

The tribunal in the Dutch town of Leidschendam began a hearing Monday to decide, among other things, how an act of terrorism should be defined and under which law - Lebanese or international.

The court hopes that clarifying legal questions now will enable it to hold a speedy trial for the suspects in the truck bombing that killed Mr. Hariri and 22 other people in Beirut on February 14, 2005.

Air bridge sustains coalition lives, Afghan security

There's a bridge connecting land-locked Afghanistan to America's East Coast. Metaphorically, the bridge has trusses spanning continents. Literally, it's a lifeline to ground combat units, as without that bridge Soldiers would lack vital life-sustaining supplies.

"Life at my combat outpost would be unimaginable without food, water, medicine and ammunition," said Army Sgt. Brandon McCannon, from the 7th Squadron, 10th Cavalry Regiment scout, deployed to COP Delorean, Baghdis Province. "
