ISAF Joint Command morning operational update

Afghan and coalition forces detained a Haqqani Network facilitator along with numerous suspected insurgents during a security operation in Sabari district, Khost province yesterday.

The facilitator operated in the district where he was responsible for transferring weapons and ammunition from weapon caches to Haqqani Network insurgents for attacks against Afghan National Army and coalition forces. He was directly involved in supplying explosives to senior level Haqqani Network leaders in the province.

USD-C ‘Lifeline’ Battalion Soldiers teach and mentor Iraqi Army on supply distribution

From Jan. 31 to Feb. 3, Soldiers with Company A, 299th Brigade Support Battalion, 2nd Advise and Assist Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, United States Division – Center continued their role advising and assisting the Iraqi Army units within the Baghdad area by conducting classes on internal and external supply management policies and procedures.

Storage Marines: providing supplies to troops in Afghanistan

Operating out of the largest storage lot in the Marine Corps, Marines from Combat Logistics Regiment 15 (Forward)’s Supply Company have the enormous responsibility of supporting Marine units operating in Helmand and Nimruz provinces.
“We directly support all Marine Corps units within RC(SW)’s area of responsibilities,” said Chief Warrant Officer 2 Jason M. Pierce, officer in charge, Storage, Supply Co, CLR-15 (FWD), 1st MLG (FWD). “We provide Marines in every unit with the necessary classes of gear so Marines can repair vehicles, build FOB's and support administrative functions.”
