The Buffer Technologies Recoil Buffer for the Glock pistol eliminates the metal slide from impacting the polymer frame. This repeated impact batters the frame where the two parts come into contact. Stopping this battering is accomplished by inserting the buffer between the recoil spring and the slide. Each time the action is worked or the weapon is fired the buffer comes into contact with the frame, not the metal slide. Installation of the Glock Buffer will result in reduced felt recoil, enhanced muzzle control and a longer service life. The Glock Recoil Buffer will fit models 17, 17L, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 24C, 31, 32, and 37. It will NOT fit Gen 4 Glocks.

Good News from Chicago!

"Since no politician ever believes what he says, he is quite surprised when taken at his word!"

Charles de Gaulle

>From a friend in the area:

"I recently noted two interesting facts:

1) The City of Chicago (formally 'murder-capital of the nation') has just reported it's lowest murder rate since 1958!

2) CPD just reported a fatal shooting (justifiable homicide, not a murder) of a local thug by a legally-armed citizen with a valid IL CCW and FOID, noting that 'authorities (unspecified) also determined the man acted in legitimate self-defense and will not face charges.'

Elaine Donnelly and Carl Mundy

General Carl E. Mundy, Jr., the 30th Commandant, was a man of character, a mentor, and a good friend I've known since 1994. On April 2 he died peacefully at home, surrounded by family, having struggled with a rare and aggressive form of cancer, Merkel cell carcinoma. His email updates describing the ups and downs of what was happening since his diagnosis last June reflected serenity and even a bit of humor as "Team Mundy" closed ranks.

American firearms owners will bid a final goodbye this Friday to gun rights hero Otis McDonald, icon of the landmark McDonald ruling on the Second Amendment, while Attorney General Eric Holder is stirring up a new flap over so-called “common sense” gun control measures that smack of electronic gun owner surveillance…

By Harold Hutchison

The Obama Administration has not given up on anti-Second Amendment schemes, and the latest one involves the tracking of gun owners. The reported method: Use of a special bracelet.

Before the M40 sniper rifle, there was the M1903A4, which served American troops in World War II and Korea.

The Gibbs M1903-A4 is built using original Remington-made World War II M1903-A3 actions and turned-down bolts, which Gibbs obtained large quantities of when it purchase the rifle division of Parker-Hale in the 1990's. Gibbs then utilizes new-made 4-groove barrels made identical to the originals. Each receiver is carefully drilled and tapped using replicas of the original "Redfield" rings and mounts and the 2nd Generation Gibbs 1903A4 M73G2 scope made by Hi-Lux/Leatherwood, an exact copy of the M73B1 scope, used on the 1st model M1903-A4's. Each barreled action has the original military parkerized finish with parkerized stock furniture, again, identical to the originals. The stocks are new-made "C" configuration with a linseed oil finish.

America is losing 23 veterans a day to suicide, and the problems have been getting worse in recent years. To put that number in perspective, the number per day translate to over 8300 veterans a year committing suicide.

According to a report by Breitbart News, the stats are staggering. The suicide rate has climbed by over 30% among active-duty military since 2008. A report covering suicides in 2011 noted that 301 suicides occurred among active-duty troops that year.

Questions Raised After Second Mass Shooting in Five Years
By Harold Hutchison

Does a ban on carrying guns on military bases that has been in place for over 20 years need to be re-considered? That question is being debated in the wake of the second mass shooting at Fort Hood in five years, and the second mass shooting at a military installation in less than a year.
