Gov. Malloy signs anti-gun laws, NSSF and NRA respond

Almost before the ink had dried on the anti-gun legislation signed by Connecticut Gov. Dannel P. Malloy earlier today, the Newtown-based National Shooting Sports Foundation had a bristling reaction, calling it “a package of gun-control legislation that was assembled in secret by a small group of state legislators and that never received a public hearing.”

NSSF Statement on Passage of Connecticut Legislation

The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), the trade association for the firearms and ammunition industry, issued the following statement today:

Gov. Dannel Malloy today signed into law a package of gun-control legislation that was assembled in secret by a small group of state legislators and that never received a public hearing. Most legislators had little time to even read the actual bill language.

Honestly. Watching MSNBC is torment. It is like planting a listening device in Hitler's bunker.

After consultation with the White House, MSNBC has revealed what the Democrat's strategy is for passing "universal gun registration," gun bans, and magazine bans.

Ironically, one MSNBC commentator, Mike Barnicle, accidentally referred to universal background checks as "universal gun registration." What does that tell you about the Left's agenda for background checks?

ISAF Also Nabs Flunkies During Operations

ISAF confirmed the capture of two insurgent leaders during operations in Afghanistan yesterday. This brings the total of insurgent leaders captured or killed since Friday to ten.

In Baghlan province, a leader with the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan was captured by ISAF. He had been involved in training new insurgent fighters, and in gathering intelligence. He also was involved in IED attacks.
