MAXPEDITION'S Large Long Clip Point (LLCP) Fixed Blade Knife

Maxpedition® is the brainchild of founder and CEO Tim Tang, who in 2003 dropped out of medical school to start his own company in his parents’ garage. Ten years (and several progressively larger warehouses) later, Maxpedition is now thriving in its own Los Angeles-based corporate and distribution compound.

Innovative from the start, Maxpedition gained a competitive edge in its early years by creating bags and packs with superior durability and ergonomics, such as the Versipack® and Gearslinger® series. The first customers were military operators and law enforcement officers, but the civilian and concealed carry markets quickly caught on, selecting Maxpedition® as their preferred EDC (Every Day Carry).

The Su-25 Frogfoot

The Soviet Union was facing a problem in the 1970s. The United States was deploying the A-10 Thunderbolt, which was designed to carry out close-air-support missions, which could decimate the large tank formations that the Soviets were counting on to smash NATO. They needed something similar to inflict similar losses on NATO forces. Their answer was the Su-25, which they call Grach, but which may be better known as Frogfoot. If a war is in the news, more often than not, the Frogfoot is involved.

The next grueling chapter in Afghanistan has just begun

Gloomy Outlook in Afghanistan

The American withdrawal from Afghanistan is coming in the context of an incomplete reconstruction effort and Taliban gains. The news comes as foreign policy crises are erupting across the world.

According to a report by National Review Online, John F. Sopko, the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction, wrote in his report, “Despite the drawdown of U.S. and Coalition forces [from Afghanistan], our mission there is far from over. With almost $18 billion appropriated but not yet spent in the pipeline, and probably another $6 to $10 billion promised annually for years to come, Afghanistan reconstruction should still be relevant to every U.S. taxpayer and policy maker.”

Jesse Ventura versus Chris Kyle's ghost

Chris Kyle, SEAL extraordinaire rocketed to fame with his book American Sniper when he claimed to be the most lethal American sniper in American history with 160 confirmed hits. In his autobiography, he wrote about punching out a man he called “Scruff Face” in Coronado California in a bar when Scruff Face bad mouthed the Navy SEALs. Jesse Ventura was in town for a SEAL reunion.
Ventura was a heavy weight champion former actor who turned to politics and became the governor of Minnesota, and later hosted a Conspiracy theory show.

It was in July of this year when Jim Landress heard loud banging on one side of his home. The 3:30 a.m. pounding shook the two-story Alaska home like a BB in a boxcar. The racket roused Jim's young son Montana and he went from his ground-level bedroom to the front room to see what was going on. He opened the curtains and looked straight at a big brown bear that started sizing up Montana for a possible early morning snack!

Jim and the family dog quickly joined the affair and the combination of yelling, barking, and Jim firing couple of warning shots from his .45 ACP Hi-Point handgun convinced the big bear to leave the property. Then everybody went back to bed, because visiting bears are normal for many Alaskans.
