17 Injured When Van Crashes

Five people were killed when a van carrying 22 people crashed, ending a vehicle chase being carried out by United States Customs and Border Patrol. The crash occurred in Arizona, a state where illegal immigration has become a controversial issue.

In addition to the fatalities, the other 17 people were injured when the van rolled over. Of the five people killed, one was from Mexico, four were from Guatemala. One of those killed was a young boy. Seven of the injured were transported via helicopter.

TWO MORE BIGWIGS NABBED

ISAF Captures Taliban Leader, Haqqani Facilitator

ISAF reported capturing two more insurgent bigwigs during operations in Afghanistan. The captures bring the total of killed or captured insurgent leaders and facilitators to six in the last four days.

The Taliban leader was captured in Helmand province. He controlled a cell of fighters responsible for a number of attacks against ISAF and Afghan forces in Helmand and Kandahar provinces, and also oversaw weapons facilitation in the area, trained suicide bombers, and served as an improvised explosive device expert.

The city of Boston is on lockdown as federal, state, and local authorities continue their hunt for Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, a 19-year-old who came to the United States in 2003 from the northern Caucasus in Russia as a refugee from the conflict.

They allegedly set off bombs at the Boston Marathon and threw more explosives Friday morning at police, but after the manhunt ends with the apprehension or slaying of a suspect identified as Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, watch how fast it takes gun prohibitionists and the press to focus on the gun or guns these guys apparently have.
