Ukraine: A Defining Moment for Western Civilization and Liberty

Russian President Vladimir Putin is without a doubt one of the luckiest rascals alive. Putin has risen to power at a time when the leaders of the West seem less than courageous. He has invaded a sovereign nation, Ukraine, and with a military force, under the guise of “democratic elections” is poised to annex a vital portion of Ukraine, the Crimean Peninsula.

Of course, this is not the first time western powers have stood in confrontation with Russia over the Crimea.

Capture Stolen Tanker

An oil tanker hijacked by Libyan rebels was re-taken by Navy SEALs from SEAL Team Two in an operation. The takedown ended a hijacking crisis that started earlier this month.

According to media reports, the North Korean-flagged tanker Morning Glory and a cargo of crude oil. The SEALs launched from the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71), and took control of the vessel, which the Department of Defense called “a stateless vessel” in a release, without firing a shot.

Ares Armor store security cameras caught the first moments of a raid by agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Saturday, and in an interview this morning with Examiner and The Gun Mag.com, Ares CEO Dimitrios Karras said the company is up and running, and has already replaced computers seized during the raid.

F-Troop Seeks Customer List, “80 Percent” Receivers

Despite a restraining order, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives raided Ares Armor, a company that sells “80 percent lower receivers” to the general public. The raid came on the heels of a second raid targeting EP Armory, which made similar products.


In the ever-changing AR15 market, DoubleStar continues to be innovative with their release of the Midnight Dragon. This rifle is geared towards target shooters and varmint hunters crowd with its 24" spiral fluted, nitride coated stainless barrel. The barrel's 1x8 twist allows for a wide range of ammunition from 55 grain up to the heavier match rounds. The handguard is a knurled aluminum free float tube fitted with a Harris bipod adapter with sling swivel.

DoubleStar chose the durable and comfortable ARFX skeleton stock from Ace Limited (www.riflestocks.com) a subsidiary of J&T Distributing. Calif. gun shop fights ATF over customer’s names

A Southern California gun shop operator has obtained a temporary restraining order in U.S. District Court against the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives over an effort by ATF agents to obtain a list of their customers, and the agency has until Friday to file an opposition to that court motion.
