Widening ‘Reportergate’ scandal attracts gun group’s wrath

What one Bellevue-based gun rights group today suggested is a symptom of an administration “out of control” is expanding almost by the hour as revelations of Obama administration snooping on reporters have grabbed the media’s attention and turned journalists, at least temporarily, against a White House many thought to be exempt from their criticism.

Hell hath no fury like a liberal confronted with reality, if reaction in today’s Think Progress and yesterday’s on-line commentary at The Stranger – the latter a popular Seattle alternative newspaper – to pro-gun posters aimed at gays that are reportedly appearing around the Capitol Campus in Olympia and Seattle’s Capitol Hill.

Obama Administration Witch Hunt Targeted Fox News

In “leak investigations,” the Obama Administration targeted two reporters and one producer with Fox News Channel. In one case, a reporter was accused of being an “aider, abettor and/or co-conspirator” in the wake of a 11 June, 2009 report. The other case surrounded a reporter and producer who were investigating the scandal surrounding Operation Fast & Furious.

NSSF Joins Lawsuit Against Colorado Gun-Control Laws

The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), the trade association for the firearms industry, has joined with 54 county sheriffs, Magpul Industries, the Colorado Outfitters Association, several firearms retailers, disabled individuals and other parties in a federal lawsuit brought in the United States District Court for the District of Colorado in what is a broad-based challenge to Colorado's recently enacted gun-control laws.
