UPDATE: FOUR DEAD, 14 WOUNDED AT FORT HOOD

The death toll from the Fort Hood shooting has reached four, including the shooter, while 14 people have been wounded. Six of the wounded are reportedly in critical condition.

According to media reports, the 34-year-old shooter was an Army specialist. The shooter allegedly went through the 1st Medical Brigade building and the Battle Simulation Center. The shooter reportedly killed himself.

Reports of a second shooter remain unconfirmed. There was a shooting at the Washington Navy Yard in September, 2013, where 12 people died, along with the shooter.

FORT HOOD TOLL CLIMBS...

The casualty total at Fort Hood has climbed to one dead, and at least fourteen injured, with some media outlets reporting a fatality, although that has not been confirmed.

According to conflicting reports, one shooter was dead or in custody, but a second shooter was reportedly on the loose.

The FBI, as well as state and local law enforcement, have been sent to assist in the response to the incident.

UPDATE: AT LEAST TWO WOUNDED AT FORT HOOD

At least two soldiers have been wounded in a shooting at Fort Hood. A statement by the installation's press center said, "There has been a shooting at Fort Hood and injuries are reported. Emergency crews are on the scene. No further details are known at this time."

A message posted on the Facebook page for the base and III Corps about 50 minutes ago stated, "All personnel on post are asked to shelter in place."

KHOU.com reported at least one person was dead. Fox News reported that "the threat of one shooter" had ended, but that a second shooter may still be on the loose.

BREAKING: ACTIVE SHOOTER REPORTED AT FORT HOOD

An active shooting situation has been reported at Fort Hood. Alarms have been reported going off at the base, one of the largest military bases in the Untied States.

The base was the scene of the 2009 unacknowledged terrorist attack carried out by Nidal Hasan, who killed 13 people before responding security.

According to reports, the base has been placed in a lockdown, with alerts on Twitter and text messages urging people to shelter in place.

Cambodia Repatriates Possible American Servicemen

Cambodia has returned three sets of remains believed to have been American servicemen who were missing in action from the Vietnam War. The three servicemen were among 53 of the 90 MIAs in that country still not accounted for.

According to media reports, the remains were discovered in Kampong Cham province. American forces carried out air strikes in Cambodia from 1969 to 1973, plus a ground invasion in 1970. The last American casualties in Southeast Asia were also suffered in Cambodia.
