NEW SHOE BOMB THREAT?
Homeland Security Issues Alert
By Harold Hutchison
A new shoe-bomb threat has been reported by the Department of Homeland Security. This threat comes just over four years after the failed underwear bombing of Northwest Airlines Flight 253 on Christmas Day 2009.
According to a report by Fox News, the threat is not in connection with the 2014 Winter Olympics, but does involve overseas flights.
In 2001, just over two months after the 9/11 attacks, Richard Reid, a British-born member of al-Qaeda, attempted to use a shoe bomb to bring down American Airlines Flight 63.
