Magazine Confiscation in Connecticut?

Printer Friendly VersionPrinter Friendly VersionSend to a FriendSend to a Friend

Connecticut is considering legislation that would not only outlaw a number of magazines, but require them to turn any such magazines in or face felony charges.

The radical proposal was reported on by Daniel Gelernter in National Review Online blog, the Corner.

"[T]here is no reason outside bureaucratic whim for one definition over another. People who have such magazines haven’t necessarily gone out to buy them specially — a compact 9mm pistol might come with a 13-round magazine as standard," Gelernter writes.

The legislation is currently slated for its first public hearing today.
