ISAF Joint Command morning operational update
A combined Afghan and coalition security force detained a Haqqani network facilitator and two of his associates during a security search in Sabari District, Khost province, yesterday.
The facilitator was responsible for coordinating the movement of roadside bombs and weapons, and also provided situation reports to Haqqani leadership regarding operations in the area.
In addition, the security force seized multiple AK-47 assault rifles, a chest rack and ammunition.

A combined Afghan and coalition security force detained one suspected insurgent while searching for an Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan leader in Kunduz District, Kunduz province, yesterday. The leader is a military commander involved in foreign fighter facilitation and training in Burkah District, Baghlan province.
In Nahr-e Saraj District, Helmand province, an Afghan and coalition combined security force detained multiple suspected insurgents during a security operation targeting a Taliban leader yesterday. The leader plans suicide attacks against Afghan and coalition forces in the region.
A combined Afghan and coalition security force detained one suspected insurgent during a security search for a Taliban leader in Shajoy District, Zabul province, yesterday. The leader facilitates Taliban operations in the district by arranging weapon transfers and roadside bomb placements for attacks against the Afghan National Army and Afghan National Security Forces.
In Charkh District, Logar province, a combined Afghan and coalition security force detained two suspected insurgents yesterday during a search for a Taliban leader. The leader is the Taliban-appointed governing official for insurgent operations in Baraki Barak and Charkh districts.
