ISAF announced that a civilian contractor for the NATO force was killed in what has come to be known as a “green on blue” attack.
“Individuals wearing Afghan National Army uniforms turned their weapons against International Security Assistance Force members in eastern Afghanistan,” an ISAF release stated.
ISAF is currently investigating the incident. The identity of the fatality has not been released, and ISAF’s release stated that “relevant national authorities” would do so later.
