Boehner Still Not Going to Conference on “Gang of Eight” Bill
By Harold Hutchison

House Republicans held a lengthy discussion on what to do about border security and illegal immigration during a retreat in Cambridge, Maryland. The discussion centered on a list of principles passed by the House Republican leadership.

According to reports by Breitbart News, House Speaker John Boehner repeated a commitment to NOT go to conference on the “Gang of Eight” amnesty bill that was passed in the United States Senate, and also refused to commit to putting legislation on the floor. In that discussion, as many as 80 percent of the House Republicans who spoke opposed moving forward.

A copy of the House Republicans’ principles reveals that they place Border Security and Immigration Enforcement first. They also state, that when it comes to dealing with “Individuals Living Outside the Rule of Law” that no form of legalization “can happen before specific enforcement triggers have been implemented to fulfill our promise to the American people that from here on, our immigration laws will indeed be enforced.”

Be sure to contact your Representative at (202)224-3121 and urge him or her to oppose amnesty.
